Kratom is a natural plant with very large leaves that originates in Southeast Asia. The scientific name for the plan is Mitragyna Speciosa and is related to the coffee plant. Kratom has been used for thousands of years by native peoples. Kratom is currently sold either as powder made from crushed, dried leaves or as an extract. The extract is made from a concentration of the active ingredient in Kratom with the ground powder. Usually the extract powder is up to 10X stronger than the original ground leaf from which it is made.
